RAFFAUF is a Berlin-based designer fashion brand specialising in innovative fabrics made from sustainable resources. In line with our motto BE THE CHANGE our brand stands for slow fashion. Our vision: sustainability without compromise in design. We combine exceptional design with sustainable textiles and European supply chains with responsible production – we make responsibility wearable.
We have been known for our high-quality outerwear for more than 30 years. Our passion is to constantly develop innovative materials, such as organic cotton with beeswax coating, recycled plastic bottles, recycled wool and a coating made from grain waste. Sustainability is also reflected in our designs: timeless cuts, top-quality workmanship, and individual details make RAFFAUF garments made-to-last companions.
Our production mainly takes place in Europe and requires only short transport routes from growing the natural materials, or making the recycled fibres, to delivering a ready-to-wear collection. For example, our styles made from recycled PET bottles travel just 1,300 kilometres from the collection of the bottles in northern Italy with a stopover in our production facility in Poland until the finished jacket arrives at our headquarter in Berlin. Being so close to our suppliers and production facility also helps us to ensure fair working conditions throughout the production process of each garment.
Winter 2022 is all about quilted coats and jackets! We combine quilted shawl collars and turn-up cuffs with timeless puffer jackets in a wide range of colours: ocean, desert, black, and a touch of dark purple glamour characterise the RAFFAUF collection in autumn/winter 2022. The proportion of recycled materials increases with each season and we are happy to announce that this winter, for the first time, all the ingredients in our garments made from recycled PET bottles are also recycled: from lining and padding to ribbons, buttons, and labels – every detail is recycled. Another highlight: Our wintery wool coats made from recycled old clothing not only keep their wearer warm on cold days, they also give pre-loved garments a new life.
