Modal

Modal belongs to the group of chemical fibres of cellulosic origin.

The production of Modal is very similar to the one of viscose. Modal fibres are structurally modified viscose fibres. The cellulose for these fibres is mainly obtained from beech wood.

- More shape-retaining than viscose
- Similar properties as cotton
- Absorbs moisture very well
- Skin-friendly
- More stretch than viscose
- Biodegradable
- Higher scrub resistance than viscose
- Soft
- Fine
- Shiny
- Does not crinkle easily
- Breathable
- Easy to clean
