Raccoon

There is hardly anything softer and fluffier than this material.

The raccoon is a real bear and has been bred in Germany for fur and wool production since 1934 and (unfortunately also) released into the wild. Since then, they have been multiplying somewhat uncontrollably, which is a little problematic for our local wildlife. We also have whole families in our garden from time to time ;)

The raccoon wool from Rundholz comes from a controlled farm in China with an outlet and good regrets: the raccoon is not sheared. The coat is combed out during the change of coat, similar to the cashmere goat.
